KNIFE DEFENSE in KaJuKenBo
In a street knife attack it is reality thinking that you
as the defender or your opponent will be cut during this
confrontation. If avoidance is not possible once the knife
is brought out, your hand techniques are quicker and
more direct way of controlling the situation. In KaJuKenBo
techniques a block which transitions into a grab or
control of the knife hand could be a good defense.
After the weapon hand has been grabbed or immobilized then
a low kick to the knee, groin, shin or stomp on the foot
will better take the initial technique into an effective
one. After you have control of the knife and have soften
up your opponent take or disarm the knife away from the
assailant before ever following up.
